About CompClaimIQ

CompClaimIQ exists because most workers comp settlement calculators online give you a single, unsourced number with no explanation of how they got there. We built this site to do the opposite: show the actual math, cite where the underlying benefit rates come from, and tell you plainly when a number isn't verified yet rather than guessing.

How Our Estimates Are Built

Every settlement estimate on this site is built from two pieces of real data:

  • Your state's benefit formula — the wage-replacement percentage and weekly maximum set by that state's workers comp agency, sourced from official state publications wherever possible.
  • Typical outcomes for your injury type — how claims of that kind usually resolve, based on typical disability duration and settlement patterns for that category of injury.

We show the calculation on every page, not just the final number, so you can see exactly how your estimate was reached.

What We Don't Do

We don't fabricate state figures to fill in gaps. If a state's benefit data hasn't been verified against an official source yet, that page is marked accordingly and held back from search results until it has been. We'd rather show fewer complete pages than a full site of guessed numbers. Our full sourcing standards are on the editorial policy page.

Editorial Standards

Content on this site is published under a defined editorial process — see the Editorial Standards section below for what that means in practice. State benefit data is checked against official state agency publications on an ongoing basis; see our editorial policy for the full verification and correction process.

Not a Law Firm

CompClaimIQ is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We connect visitors with independent, licensed attorneys in their state who can review their specific case. See our full disclaimer for details.

Questions or Corrections

Found an outdated or incorrect figure? We want to know. Contact us and we'll review it.

Editorial Standards, in Practice

CompClaimIQ is researched from primary sources — government data, official state and federal agency publications, and licensed provider information — and reviewed for accuracy before and after publication. Some pages contain affiliate or referral links; see our editorial policy for details on how that works and how it's kept separate from the accuracy of the information itself.

Content on this site doesn't carry an individual byline because it isn't the work of one person — it's built from a defined sourcing and verification process rather than a single writer's authority. That process, not a named credential, is what the CompClaimIQ Editorial Team byline is meant to signal. If you'd like more detail on how a specific figure was sourced, ask us — every state benefit figure on this site has a dated source behind it.
